SeeRead ("we", "our", or "the extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our Chrome extension.

Information We Collect

We collect the following information:

• Email address: Collected via Google OAuth for account identification and communication.
• Article URLs: The URLs of articles you choose to transform into infographics.
• Generated images: The infographics created from your articles, stored for your library.
• Payment information: Processed securely through Stripe; we do not store your payment card details.

How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate you and maintain your account
• To generate infographics from articles you submit
• To store your generated images in your personal library
• To process payments for credit purchases
• To track your credit balance and usage

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL database and cloud storage). Generated images are stored with signed URLs that expire after 30 days, after which they can be refreshed from your library.

Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties, except:

• Stripe: For secure payment processing
• Supabase: For data storage and authentication
• Image generation API: Article content is sent to generate infographics

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: View all data associated with your account
• Delete: Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Export: Download your generated images from the library

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove all your personal data within 30 days, except where required by law.

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication via Google OAuth, and row-level security policies on our database.

Children's Privacy

SeeRead is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
