We take the security of your data seriously. Here's how we protect your content and what you should know.
Security at a Glance
- No content storage — Your files are processed and immediately discarded

What data does SeeRead access?
When you use SeeRead, we temporarily access the following to generate your infographic:
- Web page content: The text content of the page you're viewing (Chrome extension)
- Video transcripts: YouTube captions or auto-generated subtitles
- Podcast audio: Audio files for transcription (temporarily processed)
- PDF text: Extracted text from uploaded PDF documents
- Pasted text: Any text you directly input
This content is used solely to generate your infographic and is not retained after processing.
How is my data processed?
Your content follows this secure pipeline:
- Step 1: Content is extracted from your source (webpage, PDF, video, etc.)
- Step 2: Text is sent securely (TLS 1.3) to our processing servers
- Step 3: AI analyzes the content and generates the infographic
- Step 4: The generated image is returned to you
- Step 5: Source content is immediately discarded from memory
The entire process typically takes 10-30 seconds. We do not log or store the content you process.
Data retention
Content you process: Not retained. Discarded immediately after infographic generation.
Generated infographics: Stored temporarily (up to 24 hours) for download, then deleted unless you save them to your device.
Account information: Email and authentication data retained while your account is active.
Usage metadata: We log basic usage data (credits used, timestamps) for billing and support purposes.

Encryption
All data transmitted between your device and SeeRead's servers is encrypted using TLS 1.3, the latest transport layer security protocol.
Generated infographics are served over HTTPS from Cloudflare's global CDN.
We do not store your processed content at rest, so at-rest encryption is not applicable for user content.
What SeeRead is NOT designed for
While we take security seriously, SeeRead is designed for general productivity use. We recommend not using SeeRead for:
- Medical records or health information (HIPAA-protected data)
- Legal contracts or privileged communications
- Classified or government-sensitive materials
- Financial documents with account numbers
- Content requiring audit trails or compliance logging

Security FAQ
Does SeeRead store my files or content?
No. SeeRead does not permanently store your uploaded content. Files are processed in memory, used to generate your infographic, and then immediately discarded. We do not retain copies of your PDFs, transcripts, or text inputs.
Is my data encrypted?
Yes. All data transmitted between your device and SeeRead's servers is encrypted using TLS 1.3. Generated infographics are served over HTTPS.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. You can request complete account deletion by contacting support@seeread.app. We will delete your account information, usage history, and any stored preferences within 30 days.
Does SeeRead sell my data?
No. We never sell, share, or monetize your content or personal data. Your content is used solely to generate your requested infographic.
Is SeeRead GDPR compliant?
Yes. SeeRead complies with GDPR requirements. EU users can exercise their rights to access, rectification, and deletion by contacting support@seeread.app.
